song bird awakens
singing all the songs of wonder
glee emerges in my heart

warmth of spring emerge
honeysuckle fill the nostrils
the breeze spreading sweetness

Living in a Living World

Acharya Moh Hardin explores how our sense perceptions-what we see, hear, smell, taste and touch-play a key role in the cultivation of mindfulness and awareness on the path of meditation.

Our sense perceptions play a key role in the cultivation of mindfulness and awareness on the path of meditation. How we are instructed to relate with our sense perceptions, however, will vary depending on what we are trying to accomplish in our meditation. If we are cultivating mindfulness, sense perceptions can prove distracting, while the cultivation of awareness is going out into our perceptions, and discovering a world alive with strength and beauty.
